WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT SHOP?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT SHOP?

I remember when that post office was situated there
Right in the middle of the market square
Like all shops they disappear and go
Causing sadness to appear like a crushing blow

I remember where that bank used to be
It's now a fast food restaurant as far as I can see
What of the record shops that were part of my youth
Long since gone part of a terrible truth

The high street shops unfortunately change
People of my generation find it strange
It's sad that these shops are there no more
They will never return again that's for sure
