Poem -

"What if i die tomorrow?"

"What if i die tomorrow?"

"What if I die tomorrow?"
"You'd feel shit, I know you would!"
What if I just felt nothing,
Rather than sad, the way I 'should'.

"What if I die tomorrow?"
Is that all you've got to say?
With all that you have put me through,
It would be an uncomfortable day.

People saying sorry,
For losing something I never had.
To me you're just a stranger,
I don't refer to you as dad.

I so often ask myself,
'Would it be the drugs and all the drink?'
'Or would it be something completely different?'
Something we'd never think.

"What if I die tomorrow?"
I don't feel id be hit too hard.
Yet my sisters, they'd suffer terribly!
It would surely leave them scarred.

"What if I die tomorrow?"
Who knows what tomorrow will hold.
I hope you live a happy life,
And don't die till you get old.

Hate you? What's the point?
What good will that be for me?
You live your life the way you want,
But please just let me be.

"What if I die tomorrow?"
"You'd feel shit,I know you would!"
I've tried and tried to help you,
But you'll never change the way you should.

Thanks Steve, I wrote this poem following a discussion with my dad who I am no longer in touch with for reasons highlighted in my other poem 'With age' :) Glad you liked it. Would love to know your thoughts on my other poem if you get a minute!
