Poem -

what the mirror says.

am i attractive i ask the mirror.
as the tears run from my unsatisfied eyes.
as my smile quivers to a frown.
the mirror tells me no.
i feel myself sinking down.
i crave the acceptance of the mirror telling me things i don’t know.
i ask every day.
hoping for the mirror to tell me yes and fill me with joy.
but yet the mirror tells me no yet again.
its the same every day.

Matthew.
