What Was Best For You . . . . . . ?
I was told to take the car, a brand new Alfa Romeo,
'Bring it back in one piece, close the door when you go,'
my lady assistant lowered herself into a real leather seat,
we sped off, there was a client that we had to meet.
They would tell us what they wanted which was usual,
we would tell them what they should have, for normal;
Jacques Brel was playing on the terrace - 'If you go away,'
I gave a faint smile, if they did then I'd do it my way.
You're wondering what it was, perhaps I'll make you wonder,
if intentions are positive, let no man be be put asunder;
you had your chance, so what exactly did you do with it?
so many doors but you seemed to have lost them bit by bit.
No matter, you're not finished, it's all there at your disposal,
go for it, because this may be your last chance to be magical.

BRAVO!!.....you know how sometimes the stars align just right for a person.....well in the case of this wonderful approach to POSITIVIY......the stars have aligned for me personally through this BEAUTIFULLY sculpted sonnet!!......PINNED!!....thank you SO much my friend.....and hello and hugs to Linda!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!....T xo : )
Hi Tony,
Thanks so much -
your pin is greatly appreciated.
Love,
Terry & Anne.
xoxo :)
PS - it's Anne not Linda!
Hi Terry & Anne :)
I just love the positive push in this poem. When one thinks all doors have closed you highlight how it is never ever over as long as you have fuel under that bonnet. A wonderful hopeful sonnet
