What’s your poison?

So, what’s your poison?
Overthinking? Causing yourself anxiety, sleeplessness
Alcohol? Drowning yourself (you know you can only lose,
Never find yourself, at the bottom of a glass)
Drugs? Mind altering, soul dulling, dependency creating,
Relationship breaking
Jealousy? Eating away at you, bitterness spreading through
Your precious body
Hate? Needless fear? Greed?

So, what’s your poison?
Or are you taking more than one?
Get rid of all these toxins!
You’ll have to do a lot more
Than eating healthy and exercising
Also get rid of that which harms you
Throw out devastating dependencies
Today, throw out all poisons
Be kind and gentle to yourself.
