Poem -

when he sees you...

when he sees you...

I saw an old flame..
It was creased and
not as flamboyant..
as I last remembered,
It followed me in my
car..as I slowly drove
to my doom..
Now it stands in front..
I feel the
embers on my feet..
where it used to spark
and dart..now it loafs
in comfy trainers
and insulated socks..
I guess it's a compliment.
being stalked..
but I'm not interested..
in drama and intense..
those bridges are burnt.
