When I Met You . . . . . . . .

When I Met You . . . . . . . .

You seemed to float on a cloud across the floor,
turned to smile and everything I remembered before;
now we're older, pleased to say love never grew colder,
I still feel great every single time that I hold her.

What advice would I give to others - consider how true,
if you can't tick the boxes then maybe things aren't for you,
you don't know what it may be like, look thro' the pink cloud,
didn't realise not all plain sailing, not everything's allowed.

It's the ability to come thro,' you need some 'wiggle room,'
not intransigence, which will only threaten some gloom;
it's easy to walk out the door, you must realise it's not,
it will be hard, unnecessary to lose many things you've got.

I stiil remember my 'material girl' dressed in turquoise blue,
never knew my life would be so wonderful when I met you.
