Poem -

When I Wake Up To Find All Dead

Warnings are everywhere
as omens beacon from yonder
Silence is but a liar
Withholding its desire for plunder

Signs foretell danger all around
There is no place on earth safe
Yet the beds are softer
The proud have become deaf

Nature reeks with threats galore
Who knows what she has in store
While laughter grows with indifference
When she rains we know she pores

As in a moment and with one voice
The clash of heavenly bodies on man
Will be a mark none saw coming
At the raising of an angry God's hand

When I wake up to find all dead
No explanation will be needed
No time to asses the lost or forgotten
It's what happens when God's warnings go unheeded
