Poem -

When Sleep Comes

Many days have passed yet still I think of you
Your memory is as vibrant as it ever was
No amount of time could fade your beauty
The features of your heart have not weathered
Still when sleep graces me with its presence
Its brief respite is filled with your image
And yet is more than just a specter of love
I feel your touch upon my face so real
In those few moments I wish to linger
Though the world calls me away
Wait for me love, in the ether we dance
Reality favors not this darkĀ romance
