When The Crown Rules

I'm sitting in a corner
rather Art Deco
Away from our race
But hearing it's echo
The cusions are comfy here
Where my square on earth is clean
And I take in the world
via a laptop screen
I've still got food
...enough to snack on
In a melancholy space
Knowing life will go on
Sun still blessing the windows
through The Shepherd's blue sky
Hearts still warm through smiling faces
As we stop asking redundant questions
of "where", "who", "how" and "why?"
What matters is that we don't change
Even if the seasons do
To remember that love is still around
flowing between me and you
