When The Day Dies …

When The Day Dies …

When The Day Dies …
Memento Mori

                                  To Mother
                                  (Without Whom Not)

(i)

When the day dies
and the new one starts
without any physical change
but quasi-Gregorian convention

When the clock ticks into midnight
on this peculiar day
at this particular place
at this specific time
in this Central European Summer Time zone
in this Daylight Saving Time
at this precious moment

(ii)

When the days die
And the next ones start
we think something happens
but no things going on at all

But maths applied to living
and it is Mother Nature
being attacked by another era
of science and all its gains and sorrows

(iii)

When this day dies
and a next one starts
it is still one more moment
not even one moment less

To remind that
reminding the reminder
time does not always fly

It wants to say

Sometimes we can watch time
instead of being victim to its flow.
