WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON
GIVE ME DEATH

All I have to show of our love affairÂ
Is callouses of the heart
Deep rooted deep seated callousesÂ
Tormenting callousesÂ
That has pushed me into the belly of fear
You see meÂ
But I am invisible in the mirrorÂ
I cannot see myselfÂ
For I lost me when I lost you
So like a speck of cloud at the mercy of the wind
I move silently among my peers never a whisperÂ
Not even a voice to sing
Yet life would not released meÂ
From my hearts continuous pain and sorrowsÂ
But instead i am held captiveÂ
By every second of the days fading hours
Only to be awaken by the light of tomorrowÂ
O that the heavens would hear my cry
And repossess my soul
Your absence is unbearableÂ
Let the earth swallow me whole
May I be robbed of all my tomorrowsÂ
For I can no longer live a life of miseryÂ
That is filled with continuous painÂ
And everlasting sorrow.
