When We Were Hot

Even though, I know
that nothing
lasts for ever and
one day I shall
have to let you go ..
For now,
and maybe for
a moment longer ..
I just want
the whole damn
world to know
you were, once mine ..
And my word,
how we did then shine ..
Both hot
and furnace bright ..
