Where Are All The Happy Endings

Where Are All The Happy Endings

The great bard said
The whole world is a stage.
I get that.
We are all actors
playing the scripted
rolls of life.
We go through
the choreographed parts
of the play-writers scripts.
Sometimes
we become typecast
as the bad guy or
the wronged lover.
Its all at the whim
of his pen.
I will continue to play
the parts he hands me.
I am after all an actor
in his endless
soap opera of life..
But I wish to God
he would write me
a few happy endings.
