Where Did The Time Go?

Where Did The Time Go?

Where did time go my little Angel, it seems like just yesterday;

The first time that we brought you home, and you frolicked and you played!

We taught you how to take your walks, and not go poo-poo on the floor;

You taught to us what true love was, and we could not have loved you more!

For your heart was full of purity, your barks were all for play;

At night you’d cuddle in bed with us, and together we would lay!

You’d kiss our faces and make them wet, with the treasured moisture from your heart;

We knew that you were our precious soulmate, and never would we part!

When you reached the age of eighteen months, we bought you a little bro’;

He also loved you so dearly, and went every place you’d go!

You were just so very happy, to have him by your side;

We watched you play together, and tears of joy we cried!

For twelve more years you shared your life, with your Brother, Mom and Me;

But one sad night you had to leave, now we’re all as lonely as can be!

Where did all the time go, how could it fly by so very fast?

Now I hate to face the future, I live only for the past!

Hi Dear Debs,

Thank you so much for those beautiful words of compassion.  They certainly help.  It is so lovely of you to always remember our Nico in such a heartfelt manner.  Thank you for saying that I should not feel guilty about expressing my feelings so often for him.  As you said it does ease my pain, to put my thoughts down in poetry.  Thank you so much for your continuing support.

Love Always,

Larry xox

Sweetheart this had me crying with the first line to the end. It truly is beautiful and don`t ever stop writing about our boys because they know what you say and they love it and they adore you both as much as we do them.

Debs made a good point when she said think about the time when our boys are together again and how happy they will once again be. I have five dogs back home with my Andrew and I know they are having a wonderful time with each other and that`s a great comfort knowing that they are able to keep Andrew occupied and happy with his babies again.

Don`t ever think that we find it difficult to comment on your work, each and every one of your pieces are beautiful and are a pleasure and a comfort for me and all your friends on here. We all love your work. I pin every one of your pieces.

I love you both and give my Cody a hug and kiss from auntie G xx

Our Dear G,

Your beautiful words bring tears to our eyes.  Never could we have dreamt that we would find such a beautiful person as you when we submitted Larry's first poem to Cosmo.  This has been an amazing ride which has taken us straight to the firmaments of Heaven.  We are eternal soulmates, and we both pray, that someday we will be able to hold you close to us in person.

All our love,

Linda, Larry and Cody
