Where did you go? Where did you run to?

You left me all alone, with the sounds in my mind like stones
Where did you go? Where did you run to?Â
How will I do the things without you.
Time slips further away, now that you aren't here with me today.
Where did you go? Where did you run to?
Heartache and Tears will not bring you back,
My soul has turned a broken Black.
Why did you leave? Why did you not see
the pain that you were causing me.
Where did you go? Where did you run to?
I could tell you that I love youÂ
but God needed you instead,
I felt the dread of anger fill up my soul instead.
I know that life and death will come to us all
But why did God take you,Â
you were my all.

Very well written Kay. Very heartfelt. I loved it.
Thank you sweet friend, the one and only person you love more than anything has gone away, it hurts so much. It is like ripping the soul from my life and I'm drowning and can't breath.Â
Like you told me, if you ever need to talk, I'll lend an ear my friend.
Thank you that means a lot.
Hello, Kay.
When someone very close to you passes away--whether it be a beloved spouse, a parent, or even a long-time family pet--they take a small piece of your heart with them. The hole it leaves in your heart, and the tear in the very fabric of who we are, will heal and can be mended, in time. But just as with any fabric that's been ripped and repaired the evidence there was once a tear there still remains, no matter how experienced the seamstress.
When you're dealing with flesh, bone and sinew it leaves scars.
If this poem is factual and not merely speculative my sincere hope for you is that you'll overcome your grief in time and be okay.
Great write--very well expressed.
