Where Is It Written That Anything Is Fair?

Where Is It Written That Anything Is Fair?

It's not - thou dost mock without intelligence,
rather, you bathe stubborn full of intransigence;
I can not stop you leaving, can not stop you grieving,
you might fare better if you tried some believing.

Rest easy in your bed, no remorse it's been said,
you even claim literal credence that you're well read;
after all the accolades, your stature dims and easily fades,
with pointed accusation and inaccurate asinine raids.

I am accommodating, take whatever in my stride,
avoid crossing paths and routes where the devil may ride;
how many times we feel that we have been hard done by,
it's nothing - our armoury is resilient, we just say goodbye.

The next time something seems to be delivered as unfair,
we know that we have more time than you to stand and stare.Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β
