WHERE IS THE RAIN ?

I'm going to church on Sunday and pray for rain
Not had any wet stuff for months which is a pain
The ground is hard like a rock some would say
Dear Lord above please let us have rain today

The lack of rain is most unusual for my town
For this time of year it normally buckets down
Now we have sun and a real dry barren spell
No sign of any let up so the forecasters tell

Maybe the answer is to do a kind of rain dance
Nothing to lose and is definitely worth a chance
Then who knows the rain might arrive and come
My townsfolk would be happy and not so glum
