Where You Stand

I'm here at this point and
you'll finally see,
the pain that you caused me
It's yours now,
" I'm free "
Parts of the pieces
watch where you stand
I tried to hold them, but
they slipped from my hands
Walk thru the rooms slowly
one step at a time
I did it often, " lonely night
after night"
Parts of the pieces
watch where you stand
I tried to hold them, but
they slipped from my hands
You'll walk the path on the
same worn out floors
and hear my cries echos
from a heart that
you tore
Parts of the pieces are
where you stand
I tried to hold them, but
they slipped thru my hands
You lost a diamond, a
love meant for you
alone is your omen
. " despair"
is yours too
Parts of the pieces
are where you stand
painful the memories
now do you
understand?,,,,,,

Hello Teresa,
This is a great write. I love the rhythmic feeling throughout. This is, I feel accentuated by the format of your wording. The repeating lines throughout the stanza, enforce that fluidity beautifully, whilst emphasising the weight of the pain endured from this heartbreaking experience. It is always terribley traumatic a feeling, when that one person betrays our heart. We can only hope they learn and feel the pain from the repercussions of their actions. Which I felt was expressed within this fine write
Thanks for sharing
