While You Were Sleeping

     While you were sleeping 
I may have did a little weeping
Crying is really a good thing
     While you were sleeping
I had some thoughts I’ve been keeping
That only you could bring me
     While you were sleeping 
I just prayed that you would keep me 
And that I would pass the test
     While you were sleeping 
I thanked God that you need me 
While I watched you rest
