Whispers in the Wind

In the moonlit night

The waves crash onto the boulder, the most rocks glisten in this moonlit night

Almost like a twinkle in the eye of a lover

Still warm the sand

Covers the land

Smooth glass shards surround me reflecting in the moonlight

A stained glass window shaped by man as an attempt to hide our scars

But in the moonlight it reveals

Our pain

Our loss

Our grief

Lost thought I ask myself,

Will you ever be return to me?

I stand there waiting, longing

For your lips

For your arms

For your touch

For your love

Time, irrelevant

And as I walk away one more time

The wind whispers in my heart

Three words that I've

Wanted, needed to hear from you

One last time

But perhaps it was all in my mind
