Who Cares
There, I did it.
Finally finished.
My accomplishment.
So what?
Does anyone care?
Do I wait for a comment?
Check site hourly
For their approval?
No, not me.
I'm too sarcastic.
I wouldn't care less,
Or would I?
This better be good,
A word on the page.
Maybe a few,
But who's counting?

very funny write, Denise, and welcome, I've never seen someone tackle this subject before, although many who post on a poetry site 'seek' or are at least 'aware' of the comments given; I've been here for years and still look forward to 'interesting' comments; good or bad, lol.... I suppose that you never can truly predict what resonates with the readers until comments come in, or number of reads; before something is nominated and promoted.....what a very creative idea and excellent execution you achieved here, so well done, poet, cheers
Wow! Thanks for the encouragement! Want to know something funny? I wrote this yesterday and it took maybe a minute to write. I was just feeling comical and trying not to fear what others think about my writing or not. Was trying to convince myself I wouldn't care. Lol! I look forward to seeing your writings as well.
