WHO OR WHAT I WAS

CRAVED MEMORIES

Craved memories of who or what I was before I became
become my greatest accomplishment...
Crimsom smears half smiled sparkle behind gritted teeth grinding back the rot...
Half sown seeds over shadowed by the son shine brightly crowding fields awaiting the reaper...
Heavy hearted weeds tangle in the vine weaving thoughts of loss and never had to dream and never will...
Good enough..Strong enough..deserving of..worthy of..Cared about..Thought about..Wanted here..Needed there..Sought after..After thought..
Inevitably what matters won't matter when darker days and brighted light come as they will for us all...

The 'punch?' line?

Wise. But me, I like beginnings as much as the middle and the end

Heavy hearted weeds tangle in the vine weaving thoughts of loss and never had to dream and never will“… these sad lines are powerful and beautiful.
