Poem -

who painted between the trees

Painted saints between the trees
 falling leaf tango's, drifting down
my limbs broken by the beating winds
Sanctuary is hiding in my darkest hour
contempt is death writing answers everywhere
Shadows in this heated night
holding stigmata like romantic pleas
blurry sighted stung in sliced promise
the leaf is the dance
floating in black veils -
that trace kidnapped light into stories spread upon the forbidden ground

crawling across poetry strewn
darkest red the children run
stumbling  mothers fall
limbless leaf , tango's the skies
soaked in broken days ,dressed in lovers years

Out to sea i must swim
for the ancient rises and later sinks
Ghosts return there song unsung
left behind between the trees
returned in crowded processions i can never leave

raindrops as hard as lead
fret amongst mercury lakes
and empty glass survivals
wounded light skips on vinyl lovemaking
mistakes nest on youths trimmed fears

the limbless leaf
homeless in belief
 tangos in  between the trees
