Who We Are

Who We Are

We never could change who we are
Yet we can move and travel far
To grow in ways we'd never guess
The ceaseless quest for happiness

And friends we've known have left their mark
As have the foes, don't fear the dark
Yet still we're here, amidst life's mess
Still searching for some happiness

Careers and families come and go
Within this world of ebb and flow
They rise and fall, with more or less
And still in need of happiness

The riddle is near its joyful end
I hope you worked it out, my friend
Don't be derailed, no more digress
For who we are is happiness
