Who we Become

There was so much
neglect
So much abuse
Becoming a monster too
was just an excuse

Cigarette burns on my
arms and back
Choked so hard it caused bruises
Becoming a monster too was
just an excuse

Almost beaten to death on
a daily
Forced to reproduce
Becoming a monster too
was just an excuse

Dressed in filthy rags
Forced to ware run down
shoes
Becoming a monster too
was just an excuse

Living this life made me a
monster
I was only ten
How was I ever supposed to
prosper?
