Poem -

Who Wouldn't?

She wanted to wait for the right guy,
But with every inch of her mind she fell for her.
Who wouldn't?
She grinned through silent tears asΒ her loveΒ fell for him,
and with every step to him she took,
her tendrils of hope were shunned,
for she had stepped on the frangible garden
in the domain of her mind that she owned.
But to her feet she knelt,
to plant the vanquished posies and violets,
she had so carelessly crushed.
And she knew incessantly,
that over and over again,
she'd construct intricate bridges of ignorant desire,
that'd she'd only haphazardly disregard.
But she'd do it again.
Who wouldn't?
