Why and When?

Why and When?

Why should I give you a thought
When you don't seem to care?
Why should my Soul weep
When of yours I despair?
Why do I seek new dreams
When an nightmare in you screams?
Why don't I do more
When to Life you've slammed the door?
Why won't the answer appear
When every question is futile fear?
Why can't your sadness clear
When deadly action is endlessly near?
Why is suffering to you my shame
When all you give me is anger and blame?
Why when you cut do I bleed pain
When it's you holding the knife to life in abstain?
Why do I think back to the past
When was the time you laughed last?
Why will I forever have your back
When the wheels of sanity veer off track?
Why it's so obvious to me my so troubled one
When my love is ever unconditional for you my precious son?

                          I will always be there❤️

How little they see the damage being done.

Powerful poetry Wendy, take care, be strong, with age comes wisdom and understanding. Time is all we have to accept.
