Poem -

WHY I DON'T MAKE MY BED WHEN I GET OUT OF IT

Water had filled each and every crack the earth could provide. It had rained well. From underneath the now lush-green grass blades, an ant emerged out of his fluid-filled world. He had managed to survive.

The ant-hole was gone. The food was gone. The eggs were gone, and the companions too. All the toils of the past for a comfortable existence were now under the ruthlessly compassionate sustainer of life.

Overlooking the rejoiced landscape, the tired ant made his way towards a somewhat dry spot. With great intention and pre-programmation to dig a new hole, he began to unearth the earth.

Wait a second.

Looking first at his future home, then at the moisture-laden skies, the ant said out aloud, 'Why dig another one when it's going to rain again.'
