Why I dread the Night

Why I dread the Night

Day or Night

During the night

I’m as depressed as can be

I always stay away

Though, the future, I can’t foresee

During the day

I lay awake on my bed

Always happy, not a sad thing in my head

Because the night I dread

I feel like I destroy

Everything I touch

But it’s me just in pain’s clutch

It plays me like toy

The night always comes

But I will not try to fight it

Because when push comes to shove

I will never stay above
