WILBERT JONES

In the summer of 1971 out in Louisiana state 
A decision was made which was not great 
Wilbert Jones was found guilty of a terrible crime 
So begins his story by way of a rhyme 

The judge called Jones an evil and despicable male 
Jones spent 45 years living from jail to jail 
History now shows Jones was not the guilty man 
45 years of his life wasted and down the pan 

A nurse was raped and murdered that is a fact 
Who would do such a cowardly and brutal act ?
