Will-O-The-Wisp

Oh Will-O’-the-wisp
Dancing dreaming
Visionary light
Spiralling
Corkscrewing
Amidst the darkening night
One minute you are here
Yet the next you are over there
Clandestinely captivating
Our atmospheric air
Zooming
Zig-zagging
Bewitchingly blazing
As my telescopic lens espied you as I was star gazing

Ignus fatuus
Image of idolism
Mythically magical
Pipedreams of phantasm
Tho I can see your silhouette
I cannot hear your sound
Do you disappear down the deepest depths when you aren’t around ?
Are you a figment of my imagination ?
My fools’ paradise
You shimmer in yon shadows like a star’s sacrifice

Are you but a hocus-pocus ?
My head trip hallucination ?
Or merely a misconception of my misbelief ?
A fictional fascination ?
I have heard stories from fishermen out at sea
You wove whirlwinds of water
Funnelling free
Traveller tinkers tell tall tales
Of your ghostly apparitions
With whistling warbling wails
Oh wondrous Will-o’-the-wisp
Send me a little sign
Are you genuine

That is very beautiful! I loved that. Thank you.
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to comment on your other poems today, but I will try to get to them. I've been on rather sporadically, and I started to comment on another one of yours, then 40 more came raining down upon me, and then I lost my mind, and had to retrieve it from the Cosmo Lost and Found(they said it was weird, and they were going to throw it away, but were afraid to touch it...fortunately for me). Anyway, I was telling the other Angels(Cheerie and Marionette), that I have a challenge for you guys that I'm almost done with that will test your poetic knowledge. I'm hoping to have it done tomorrow. There will be great prizes(including sqwackle, and perhaps a slightly used sock), and fun for everyone...except for all of us.
Anyway, beautiful write, miss you, TTYS.
