Wille the hornless unicorn
My name is Anna , and I am unique.
I have a magical horse that only I can see.
My magical horse takes me far away.
Come ride with us we like to play.
We fly to places where mysteries are born.
It is the magical land of the last unicorn.
Running and jumping they are so beautiful to see.
I spot a unicorn that is unique just like me.
Hey little Unicorn where is your horn?
"I didn't have one when I was born."
It has always been missing from the top of my head.
I have looked everywhere,  even under my bed.
I know what you are thinking of course.
A unicorn without a horn must be a horse.
I have tried everything to get my own horn.
I even glued my head to a cob of corn.
My mother looked at me and said,"
Come here Willie,"
Take off that corncob and stop being silly."
So I took off the corncob, just like Mom said.
But the mirror kept showing me my hornless bare head!
Everyday I tried to make friends.
But the other unicorns laughed and shouted,
"You just don't fit in."
I made up my mind right then and there.
I don't have a horn, and I really don't care.
There must be something that I can do,
play in a band or join the zoo.
I may be able to sing at a recital, so I can go to
Hollywood and be on Make me an Idol.
The other unicorns will be so proud of me.
I'll smile and wave when I am on TV.
I will nod my head and lift my sunglasses,
wink at the girls and bat my eyelashes.
Suddenly, there was a great rumbling sound.
Unicorns were running from all around.
"There is a big problem; come look and see,"
A unicorn is trapped and can't get free.
All the unicorn were trying to help as the
poor little unicorn let out a loud yelp.
I tucked my head and pushed my snout.
It took me a minute and the unicorn was out.
I was glad that I finally took a chance .
They all cheered as I did my victory dance.
I patted my aching head, Â "Oh what a thump."
"Tomorrow morning, I will surely have a lump."
I became a famous unicorn that day
because the other unicorn horns got in the way.
They all tried to push, but their horn got stuck.
I didn't have one, so we were all in luck.
Missing a horn is not so bad, you see.
Sometime, it gives you special abilities.
We had a loss of fun, and the day turned out great.
I must hurry home so I want be late.
It doesn't matter if you are different when you are born.
Remember me, the hornless unicorn.
Mom gave me a kiss, and I was off to sleep.
This is a memory that I will cherish and keep.
I hope the next time, you travel with me.
As I explore my endless possibilities.

This is a very well rhymed story in a poem, Lisa.
It has a similar message to that beloved children's classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
It's okay to be unique and different, despite what others might think or say.
Sometimes those differences can even work to our advantage.
Well penned.
