William’s sky rocket 🛩

William’s sky rocket 🛩

Daddy made him paper planes when he was just a little boy

And these hand crafted Sky rockets were indeed his favourite toy

Mammy would go “Woosh…William”..and she can still see him now zig zagging along, in his dungarees of dark blue corduroy

Awww but how the simplest of things, used to bring them all so much joy

Nowadays William pilots a plane in those dizzy heights, all of his very own

Eeh but “Goodness gracious me, how fast has there little lad grown!!”

He was the most placid child that anyone had ever known

And looking back on those yesteryears, their life has certainly flown

So William takes his Mam and Dad out on a Sunday along to the local aerodrome

This small private landing strip, is only a fifteen minutes drive away, from his old folks lovely home

And their clever son pilots his light aircraft, with his parents sat at the rear, where they follow those thermals on their sky rocket roam

Then as soon as Williams Mother gets back home again, she writes all about what they saw from up above, in her little rhyming poem…
