Wings of God
 
All of those many eyes full of sorrow
Like there’s no hope for tomorrow
 
In a world full of broken hearts
Always waiting for a new fire to start
 
Come lay beside me it’s time you rest
Don’t even know that you’ve been blessed
 
There’s got to be a better life he said
While lying restlessly in his unmade bed
 
He said I’ll see you on the other side I hope
He needs a loving resurrection to help him cope
 
May each and every heart find a shining pearl?
Love finally envelop this sore and tired world
 
As I gaze up at the heavenly stars above
Want nothing but to be drowning in his holy love
 
Will he now come into my humble presence?
For he and his love are the very essence
 
His everlasting love can prevent wars and greed
I long for his heavenly touch I have an aching need
 
Just to feel his healing touch upon my body
Would forever set my trapped spirit free
 
 Came One million blessed angels on high
Spread the love of God throughout the faltering sky
 
In the sunrise of the day through the dark of night
Allow the mighty wings of God to finally take flight
 
Reign down from the thunder filled skies above
Let us all bear witness to his most powerful love
