WINTER

Something sad out in the garden I did see 
Leaves no longer hanging from the tree
Winter time is just round the corner once more
Cold and frosty mornings guaranteed for sure

Snow will arrive bringing an extra icy chill 
Pretty to look at from a bedroom window sill
With winter comes Christmas and Santa Claus
Using chimneys as entrances not front doors

Getting dark at four is not my idea of fun 
Long for summer days in baking hot sun 
Winter I ask you please hurry up and go 
I'm not your biggest fan I'm sure you know
