Winter months ahead ❄️?

Do I look forward to the winter months ?
Though the thought should make me blue

Long dark nights ahead ,maybe snow
The coldness does penetrate through

No not really is my reply
We are a hardy lot
I am just human, we adapt
To every situation we’ve got

We have enjoyed a super summer
With long hot sunny days
So if the winter is abit severe
It would be understandable in ways

The hedges are abundant in varieties of food
To feed our birds & animals
I observe this well & good

But a bountiful of fruit 
Much more than in the past
Is surely a sign of ‘cold, winter weather’
A prolonged one to last

We will all survive, I have no doubt
Then will be springtime that will loom
Such delight at little lambs being born
Whilst blossom will abloom?
