Wise Men

Wisdom

Wise Men

They say that wise men are a virtue,
It’s sad that there are only a few.
These men teach me what’s wrong and what’s right,
But sadly, I rebelled out of spite.
When I was young, I did not listen
But oh, I wish I did before I was ten.
I would have saved myself much heartache
Cause reality has a foul taste.
I worked so hard to gain so little
Now my luck is starting to dwindle.
Wise men told me to wait and seek truth
But my folly has caused me great ruth.
Yes! Folly caused me to sacrifice
Foolishness comes with a great price.
