And so I light my candles
Beautiful flames fill the room
They dance on our faces;
Creating live shadows
Then we both sit around the table
One, two, three cards unfold
Your past I behold
Tears fall from your eyes
The truths from your past hurt
Oh dear child, what have they done
Your sparkling eyes have become undone
Hiding your tears in dancing shadows;
Three more cards I unfold
Present time is what they show
A struggling youth, tormented by roots
You hold your head high now
Proud of the pain you have
You feel so hard that non compare
Strength not many poses these days
And here we have more cards
The future you always hoped for
Happiness and smiles filled with love
Here I am, reading your cards
I see no light my dear child
