Without Silence

How can darkness and silence 
Be so welcoming?
When all I want is to see the light
To hear again
My voice has faded,
It makes no sound.
How can that be? 
How can something so beautiful 
fade away? 
How can I make it come back? 
All I want is to be near the light
To feel the warmth
I don't want to be cold anymore.
