Without You

The door closes,
There’s no air,
My heart sinks,
You are not there.

The empty churning in my stomach returns, 
Ready to start another week,
The house echoing in silence,
Tears staining my cheek.

Last night led in loving arms,
Now facing a cold and empty bed,
Funny stories and conversations, 
Replaying in my head.

Five days doesn’t seem so long,
Without you it feels like forever,
I cant wait till you can come home,
And we can be together.

I’ve never tasted love like this,
Where all of time drags on,
Constantly feel a piece is missing,
Always when your gone.

I never believed in true love before, 
Or finding my soul mate,
Never looked to the stars to guide me,
And delivery me to my fate.

I don’t know what’s in store for us,
I’m excited to find out and see,
