Poem -

Without you

I feel like the wind is above me,

Don’t you… in this heat?

Like ice got slapped with a ticket,

As if the earth turns and brings Cold spam e-mails.

It feels like at any moment we will fall into it,

With rain pouring from above ground

Into the soles of your blue sneakers,

      Into your pink socks,

Into your toes, dissolving the red nail-polish.

It feels like without you,

Like a heart rushing to find an exclamation point

In a wilderness of question marks.

I wonder if it’s because we have no rain

Like waiting to buy ice-cream without coins

But without you.. would it melt?
