Wizard

Wizard

Beguiling queen spring infinitely wise.
Proclaims warm weather shall arise.
Commanding, "Perform your magistracy.
Groundhog wizard of Punxsutawney."

With gloomy clouds in place.
He harnessed his magical grace.
Enlisting sweet birds to sing melodies.
To reawaken dormant trees.

Charming flora from warmed icy beds.
To rise and shine their daisy heads.
Knocking on squirrelly squirrels door.
Come skip nuts along the shore.

Though queen winter with dire fright.
Sent out her snow storms in dead of night.
Piqued sun has caught his shine.
Melting her frost armies align.

Screeching and howling her protest.
Surrendered bidding no contest.
Wizard Phil with a mystical wave.
Uncovers ground once icy grave.

So alas spring is bespelled anew.
Battles postponed, later to ensue.
Leaving another solstice gone by.
Bestowing harmony as the crows fly.
