Poem -

Woman

Woman-tho we may never touch in life again
But through radiance and in shade
As the winged ceraphs welcome my beloved
Thro flood and fire I have forbade
Promises there are none
Secrets there are none
Hold thy tongue beloved one
For promises are but lies only unspoken
Damsel she who fancied me
To ret'rn at her waking call
This love that we
Which was a steadfast love
Shall stroll through
The Pit of Flame
And surely forsake them all.
"Woman!" I called
"Temptress of my dreams!"
But answer there was quick to fall
For tried and true
Tested and called
By unholy urchin
While within my heart truly
Was there a yearning
For it is by truth
But lies unspoken
That we shall be reunited once more
Through Thunder and Storm
Will time be no more
And the circle shall be broken
This curse shall be lifted
Forevermore!
