A Woman's Dreams

Who wonders oft whose name she soon will bear
once all the tender days of youth have passed?
Of happiness and love she’ll with him share,
and enter into covenants at last?
This man with whom she’ll ever spend her days
Must honor her and keep her safe from harm,
and she for him must use her gentle ways,
rebuking worldly causes of alarm.
And then with love most pleasing to the soul,
another with her name comes from above.
Forever now her mind he will patrol,
and bring from her a deeper form of love.
A woman dreams of what will come to pass,
but what she dreams, the truth will far surpass.
