Wonder Woman

Rest in peace, my dear loved grandmother
You were the best, unlike no other
You always held a heart of gold
To nanny, my heart was sold
I remember singing you my songs
In heaven is where your heart belongs
I remember everything, like it was yesterday
Crazy eights was the card game you loved to play
You loved my noodles, with eggs and two slices of cheese
To you it was a master piece, to me it was a breeze
Never could I do enough for a wonder woman like you
You were my superhero, who inspired me with everything you would do
I will never forget the summers at your camp, sitting around the fire
listening to the guitar players, singing their songs with heart felt desire
that Halloween night for the camp ground, boy did we laugh
Let me tell you, you were a woman and a half
Let me be your hero, was the song I sang to you almost everyday
Truth is, you were my hero, I stand to say, in every way
You always believed in the good in my heart
Every summer spent with you was my bran new start
After my dear Uncle had passed away
You read my pain, telling me in my heart he will stay
Never will I forget you, my dear grandmother, with the heart of pure gold
Your love will forever, remain in my heart, you are now my angel, on to our memories I hold
Rest in peace in the heavens above
I will look up to the sky when I long for your love
I know you are watching over me, protecting me from evil
When I feel lonely, my heart goes into retrieval
Back to the moments it was me and my nanny
I know you are at Gods Gate and you will be there to greet me
Even to this day, I feel your prescence in my home
I know I am protected, as in life I continue to roam
Searching for my ultimate reason for being alive
Because Nanny, she told me all I need is to survive
To fulfill my destiny, creating change
Always do my best to rearrange
The hearts of those I love and care about
then my destiny will be accomplished, she has no doubt
