Rest in peace, my dear loved grandmother 
You were the best, unlike no other 

You always held a heart of gold 
To nanny, my heart was sold

I remember everything, like it was yesterday 
Crazy eights was the card game you loved to play 

You loved my noodles, with eggs and two slices of cheese 
To you it was a master piece, to me it was a breeze 

Never could I do enough for a wonder woman like you 
You were my superhero,who inspired me with everything you would do 

I will never forget the summers at your camp, sitting around the fire 
listening to the guitar players, singing their songs with heart felt desire 

that Halloween night for the camp ground, boy did we laugh  
Let me tell you, you were a woman and a half 

Let me be your hero, was the song I sang to you almost everyday 
Truth is, you were my hero, I stand to say, in every way

You always believed in the good in my heart 
Every summer spent with you was my bran new start 

After my dear Uncle had passed away
