Wonderings in Wonderland

Cellophane blossoms besotted with the morning starΒ
Baseborn writing blazoned on the Cedars and ChestnutsΒ
Brazen brakes stand crowding me in like an abroad cage
The sounds of bay and brood singing of Lorelei captures and fills the air
A bivouac until I can break free and release myself from this screwed up Wonderland
The atmosphere is shining with Morning Jay's song
Dusty oranges, Royal purples, blue tears instead of stars;Β
faint, like ghosts in the air
Lightning bugs start to leave me alone
their lights
Leaving and filling my vision as they drift awayΒ
into the forest which I wish I could go
My only Escape is through the branches and thickets
which stretch for so far
dare I leave?
Dare I leave this screwed up Wonderland?
The trees have eyes
Windows on their base
Cracked and shattered
It's glass hanging from strings from the twigs, all made of sea glass
The ground is a checkerboard
Decked white and black
I in the middle can't turn back
A billow of a wave of anguish
Where do I go? Do I stay?
Oh, here I lay,Β
in my screwed up Wonderland
This is my Wonderland
It's all in my head
It's all in our headΒ
