The Wood Nympth

Deep in the woods
on a dark Autumns night,
out of the corner of my eye,
I glimpsed a flickering light,
barely visible,
not very bright,
in the distance,
just within sight.
Curiosity led the way,
I couldn't keep the urge at bay.
Quickly hastening
my feet led astray.
Suddenly stumbling upon
a Wood Nympth at play,
skipping about,
bold as day.
I spied for a while,
then without a sound
I crept away
from the magical ground.
Leaving the Wood Nympth
just as was found,
deep in the woods,
safe and sound.

Excellent write, thanks for sharing, my applause, my vote.Nymphs are very small in size and shape, winged creatures capable of flying in the air. They appear to be female, possess some degree of cleverness, and are capable of human speech, in a sharp and rough voice. Their presence is unmistakable, as they have an ethereal glow and a childlike giggle. In combat, they use their wings to fly around.
According to the classical myth and legend, one of a class of nymphs fabled to inhabit the woods, such as a dryad, Nymphs are ethereal, yet dangerous creatures. There are three known types. The Water Nymph, the Wood Nymph, and the very powerful Succubus Nymph. All will be eager to send you to an early death if you stray across their Swiftly out of harm's way. They spend most of the time as small orbs of light, and are invulnerable in this form.
I love the below quoted lines,
