Poem -

Words

We are a drop in the ocean of God,
I’m shredded but free,
I’m lonely but I can see,
And the bitch said “It’s a gift”,
And we cried and they hugged their guns closer,
And here I am covered in guilt,
A pack of teens smelling of fast food and vigor,
Loud and obnoxious they strut,
You don’t mind tearing at my scabs,
She of the golden ear,
Marks on my face just show up for the party,
Your hugs mean nothing cheap and shallow,
Up all night,rain coming down,
And I miss you
My mind will copy the wind and I’m gone.
