The power of the spoken word

A mighty force the tongue does hold
At our command to be so bold
As to speak what we can't see
And in our hearts truly believe
That power and life be in our words
And to think some use it for a curse
When anger speaks from the tongue
The same principle is at work
The words we speak do come alive
And are put forth, when we exercise
The power that flows so easily
Oh if we could finally see
That life and death is at our command
Is that to hard to understand
From the heart the mouth does speak
And a picture of us does it tell
Of the truth that lives inside our well
Defeat is also brought to life
When we speak, we exercise
The words we choose and send forth
Are a compass and then charts 
The path we will walk based on our talk
If liberty is what your heart desires
Then choose wisely what you send forth
